many of the historical sites in the Mahanoy and Mahantongo locale.
The 54" b 68" cotton throw has a beige background, is washable and made

1976 American Bicentennial
Commemorative Trivet
A cache of these scarce commemorative trivets in mint
condition was recently discovered by the Society. These lovely red, white, and blue
trivets measure 9 by 5 1/2 inches and depict
the official seal of the 1973 Lower Mahanoy Township celebration, showing the following scenes
from Lower Mahanoy Township (clockwise from top): a plow symbolic of our agrarian heritage;
a covered bridge; a Pennsylvania German hex sign; and a country church.

1973 Bicentennial
Commemorative Plate
A cache of these scarce commemorative plates in mint
condition was recently discovered by the Society. Fired in green and white
and measuring 10 inches in diameter the plate depicts the following scenes
from Lower Mahanoy Township (clockwise from top): County Line Church; Stone
Valley Church; Susquehanna River with Lime Kiln and Quarry in Background;
Front Street, Dalmatia; Panoramic View of Stone Valley; George Street,
Dalmatia; Coal Digger on the Susquehanna River, Georgetown Railroad Station.
In the center is the official seal of the 1973 Bicentennial, showing the
Plow, Covered Bridge, Hex Sign and Chapel, symbols of the Pennsylvania
German Heritage of the township. The plate is dated July 15th thru

1973 Bicentennial
Commemorative Medal
Also from the 1973 Celebration is this mint condition
medal. Struck in heavy solid metal with an antique bronze finish
this medal measures 1 3/8 inches in diameter and is sealed in its original
plastic container. The obverse contains the 1973 Township Bicentennial
Celebration logo and the reverse celebrates 200 years of Prosperity, Service
